Ron Paul Takes Lead in Iowa, Newt Gingrich Ignores Al Sharpton Connection

Iowa City, IA - With less than a month before Iowans take to the polls for the state's crucial Caucuses on January 3, 2012, Texas Congressman Ron Paul has picked up enough momentum in the past week to now overtake front runner Newt Gingrich in the polls, with Paul gaining nearly five percentage points since the December 11th ABC televised debate at Drake University.

As Paul's campaign continues to gain, it seems Gingrich is now feeling the false poll blues, just like the rest of the state-run media darlings, who we've all watched as they rise in these polls, only to fall just as fast.  Just ask Rick perry how his poll numbers are today compared to his 27% rating just a few short months ago.

This huge fluctuation in poll numbers is a testament to how unfounded and inaccurate these election polls have become.  After all, I can call anyone on the phone, and given the right mincing and parsing of words, I can get anyone to agree with my statements.

The Gingrich campaign is now facing questions regard the firing of another top campaign official. Craig Bergman agreed to step away from his role with Newt 2012 today,” Gingrich spokesman R.C. Hammond said in a statement. “He made a comment to a focus group prior to becoming an employee that is inconsistent with Newt 2012’s pledge to run a positive and solutions-orientated campaign.”

Bergman had participated in a focus group of Iowa voters assembled by the Iowa Republican website and McClatchy newspapers.

“A lot of the evangelicals believe God would give us four more years of Obama just for the opportunity to expose the cult of Mormon,” Bergan said, according to the Iowa Republican. “There’s a thousand pastors ready to do that.”

I'm not sure why the Gingrich camp would fire Bergan over such a light comment, considering the state-run media's repeated attempts to slander and libel the Tea Party movement, while glorifying and supporting the Occupy Wall Street trash.  It's almost as if Gingrich thinks that by offering up sacrificial lambs during his campaign, he'll be able to brush off the severe flip flopping he did while in office destroying America.

An Iowa City blogger asked Gingrich yesterday why he traveled America with tax cheat and shakedown artist Al Sharpton, selling some bogus education reform project.  Gingrich quickly ignored the question and began answering another unrelated question.

"I doubt even 10% of the people of this country even know that Newt Gingrich and that racist, tax-cheating, shakedown artist Al Sharpton, traveled the country together selling some bullshit education reform.  It's disgusting, but that's the Gingrich way," blogger Aaron Wesley said from Iowa today.

The Paul campaign is planning a Christmas with Ron Paul, where 500 students will spend Christmas knocking on doors and gathering more support for his Presidential bid.  With the young vote so crucial in any election year, 2012 may be the year the young begin to wake up from the cult of Obama and learn the laws of the land, the constitution, and choose the right candidate.  We'll see how it plays in Iowa.

  1. Gingrich is a neo-con progressive and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Down with NWO and End the Fed. Ron Paul is the man.
